Women are more stable and they are much more confident about their decisions – Says Utkarsh Mangudkar – Director, WeShine Tech
Q: Challenges you foresee for the women in corporate world, in the coming years?
A: The biggest challenge that I see for women is battling the mentality of the whole society; common thinking is that women cannot lead an organization. Socially women are not readily accepted as a leader, Men are considered to be better organizers and better managers.
Women are still not ready to accept jobs in certain fields like marketing and I am saying this with my personal experience, when we float jobs for marketing managers in our organisation only men turn up for the interview, women do not even want to apply for such roles considering that they will not be able to manage the challenges one needs to face when they go out on the field.
Q:What do women bring to the table which is unique / different?
A: Women are more stable and they are much more confident about their decisions then men. Men mostly think in one direction and get excited very soon, at the same time they are more reactive in certain situations. Whereas women take their decisions after looking at the bigger picture and are more stable in their approach. Their high emotional quotient also sets them apart.
Because of all these qualities women are wonderful decision makers
